Just an important detail to stress. If you are no longer meeting requirements for a refund, it is completely irrelevant, if you are an EU resident, or any country with similar consumer protection laws.
I got a refund from Steam despite it being against their Terms of Service. Laws are above any policies.
Part of me wants to refund the game, but then I'm not sure how that will be handled if my ban is lifted.

At this point I'd honestly probably prefer a refund to my ban being overturned, but I'll take either.

Just refund it. I had this hope as well, and nothing was done. My latest Appeals are more than 6 months old, still "Waiting for Studio". (Even after I refunded)

I was stuck on "Waiting on Studio" for 3 months just to get a auto denial message. I started my refund last night after hitting the appeal limit. I explained my case to Steam so hopefully they will treat me fairly. Left a negative review on Steam as well for BF6. Unless something changes this is officially the last game I will ever purchase from EA.
