EA Javelin AntiCheat Service not Starting
Hello EA Help,
Battlefield 6 will not launch on my PC. Every time I start it from Steam, it stops at "Starting EA Javelin Anticheat..." and shows this error:
"EA Javelin Anticheat encountered an error. Please restart your PC.: C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe (7)(1)"
What I found in Windows Event Viewer:
- System log, Event 7034 (Service Control Manager): "The EAAntiCheatService service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s)."
- Application log, Event 1000 (EA Javelin Anticheat): same (7)(1) message as above
- C:\ProgramData\EAanticheat\Crashdumps is empty, so no crash dump is being written
My system:
- Windows 11 Pro, build 26300 (not enrolled in the Windows Insider Program)
- MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus, Intel Core i5-11600K, 32 GB RAM
- BIOS A.70 (April 2021), UEFI mode, Secure Boot ON
- Game installed through Steam at G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 6
What I have already tried:
- Ran EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe as administrator: Repair, Uninstall All, restart, and reinstall (more than once)
- sfc /scannow (found and repaired corrupt files; second run was clean) and DISM /RestoreHealth (completed successfully)
- Turned Memory integrity (Core isolation) off and restarted
- Windows Defender Protection history shows no blocked or quarantined items
- Disabled non-essential startup apps and closed my VPN, remote desktop software, and system cleaner before launching
- Windows is fully up to date
I have copied the full error text using the "Copy error information" button and can send it or any logs you need. Could you tell me what is causing the EAAntiCheat service to terminate and how to fix it?
Thank you
