I have been experiencing what appears to be the exact same issue, although in my case it started back in Season 3.
My system is:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Radeon RX 7800 XT
32 GB RAM
Windows 10
Latest BIOS and chipset drivers
The game randomly freezes my entire PC. The image stays frozen, the system becomes completely unresponsive, and I have to perform a hard reset. There are no useful error messages, and the crash dumps I analyzed only pointed to a generic DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION without identifying a faulty driver.
Like you, I spent weeks trying different GPU drivers, reinstalling the game, repairing Windows, updating the BIOS and chipset drivers, reinstalling EA Anti-Cheat, clearing shader caches, and many other troubleshooting steps.
One thing that significantly improved the situation was completely reinstalling the game and later clearing the EA App cache (suggested by an EA Community Manager). After that, the game remained stable for weeks. I was able to play many long gaming sessions without experiencing a single freeze or crash.
Unfortunately, immediately after installing the Season 4 update, the exact same freezing problem returned.
This makes me wonder if major Battlefield updates are regenerating or modifying something that eventually triggers the issue, rather than this being a simple hardware problem. My PC remains completely stable in every other game and application, and the issue has only occurred with Battlefield since Season 3.
You're definitely not the only one experiencing this. Hopefully the developers can identify the root cause, because more and more players seem to be reporting the same behavior after these major seasonal updates.
