gearsofwar6145 check the VRM heatsink screws and make sure they're tight. If the screws are tight and the VRM is still overheating then a motherboard upgrade is needed.

You can also try disabling one of the CCD dies on the Ryzen 9 5950x and see if that helps with VRM overheating on B450M DS3H. Google search how to disable one of the CCD in motherboard BIOS settings.
For future reference, CPUs with more than one CCD aren't the best for gaming. Usually CPUs with one CCD offer better gaming performance.
