[Old] Game crashes at loading splash screen since season 2 update

Hey, folks

We are looking into new reports of the game causing a black screen and crashing for some players. As we have pushed new updates since this, we are locking it because we are tracking new threads.

If you are running into this issue, can you update the AMD Adrenalin software

Once that is installed, can you do a clean install of the AMD Graphics drivers?

I've tried reinstalling the game.  Repairing the game 5 times a day.  NOTHING works.  Right after anticheat loads, it dumps me back to the EA app.  C'MON EA!  FIX WHAT YOU BROKE!!!  I just want to play the game I paid for.  

EA compains that the game doesnt have enough players, the development team is incapable of producing a polished game nearly 1 year after its launch? How will you get players or investors if your games dont work. I came back to the game, only to experince such poor gameplay, pay all the youtubers all the money dont fix the actual product. 

Game Crashes should NOT exist at this scale and frequency. 

Worked for you, didn't work for me.

I tried this, but didn't work for me. Created a new user to login into at startup. Went to steam played bf6 and crashed on the 1st game I played.....

Shellshock9864 I tried what you said, created a new user, played bf6 and still crashed. So nope did not work for me. I think I am just the unluckiest person ever. Fkn nvidia and their b.s. drivers. 1200 hrs I have on the game, and now I can't play whatsoever. Happens in arc raiders too

Same for me!! Ever since that march 3rd nvidia update 595.71. Did the hotfix and the new march 10th update and still can't play. Driver hung error. Absolutely ridiculous 

The creating a new Windows Local User has been a "fix" now since 2042 for odd "Unknown Error" issues, unacceptable really.

better than resetting your PC.

Penguin says it shouldn't have been necessary, but it's actually what worked in this case somehow, believe it or not.

Hopefully a patch coming soon resolving this fully.
