PC freezing after 10min off playing BF6 since update today 16.4.2026

Can confirm this fixed the freezing for me.

Same issue after the recent mini update. No crash dumps/complete lock up. Have to hard reset to recover. Was working fine before recent BF6 updates.

Mine was already crashing/freezing on the March 25 AGESA BIOS and I updated it to the most recent 1.3.01 BIOS and that didn't solve anything.

Crashing on 12th gen i5 + RTX 3080, win 10.

Hard lock and only way was to reset/power off the PC.

This is the last post on this topic needed.  Common sense prevails.  Fix this **bleep**.

I've been crashing non-stop for days now and most of the time there is no crash dump since it locks up my entire computer requiring hitting the reset button to fix.

I did just have one occasion where only the game froze without killing all of Windows.  It generated this crash dump.  After about 10 seconds it did end up locking up the entire system.

Hopefully this is fixed soon. I have a 9800x3D and don't seem to have any issues but looks like quite a lot of people are.

So you're saying to manually set PCI-E Gen4 to all slots in the BIOS? Even for GPU or just the storage & add-in cards?

Well my mobo is the X870e Tomahawk which has the same ALC4080 CODEC. Coincidentally, way back in the day I had crashes with Battlefield 3 and it was from the onboard audio chip. When I disabled it, it stopped crashing.

I'm still running my old Soundblaster Zx PCIe card on my current machine (old habits die hard) and onboard audio is again disabled, and I'm still crashing. Might update my BIOS for giggles but I have a lot of custom settings and don't really want to have to set them all again. Or I can just be patient and hope the brain trust at DICE fix this in a timely manner.
