PC Hard Crash / BSOD in Multiplayer – IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (eaanticheat.sys)

I'm having game crashes which have been ongoing, often when leaving a match, and now kernal level crashes in the middle of matches that point to the games anti cheat. I don't know if they're related or not.

I've uploaded a zip with 3 folders, first is the last 3 frostbite minidump files from game crashes. Second is a kernal minidump from the first hard crash I got. Third includes event viewer logs from a kernal memory dump from second hard crash, along with msinfo32/dxdiag info.

I've played the game fine for a while after that update was released. I removed the update at one point as I saw it as a potential solution for crashes but I got crashes without it as well. So I'm not sure if it really matters in this case at all.

I'm probably screaming into the void here but in the chance it does reach a developer I've got more info to add, not sure how it's all related but it might important. Here's a screenshot with another crash I've gotten a couple times since this has started. Also for the first time today I saw a vertex stretching visual bug stretching across the map. I think it came from a body or destroyed vehicle, it disappeared after a few minutes. About 20 minutes later in another match entirely the game also silent crashed and just closed without any error at all for the first time, monitoring my video card temps of course, wasn't that.
Would like to make it clear I've played the game for like 80 hours without major issue before this, I can continue to play singleplayer without any issues, and I am having no such issues in any other games I'm playing.

  • The problem is that you're playing on PC.  Destabilizers were purposely put in the game to create a handicap for PC players.

If you have an Xbox, hook up a MNK and you'll have a more stable system with some aim assist and lower bloom.  Unfortunately, recoil does not seem to be affected and you will suffer like the rest of us PC players.

Nope, nevermind, still getting crashes again with steam overlay and msi still turned off as well. The mean time between crashes is longer but it's still inevitable. At this point it's in the devs hands, I don't think there's anything else I can do on my end to prevent it.

Steam overlay is causing the crashes I believe. Played for like 2 hours with it disabled, didn't crash, turned it back on, crashed within 30 minutes. I've eliminated every other variable I (chatgpt) can think of. Reinstalled the anti cheat, No RTSS or MSI afterburner on, steam recording disabled, Core Isolation / Memory Integrity off, every memory enhancement in BIOS disabled and ram downclocked significantly to 4800.
