Why Am I being Forced to Play as a Female if I choose the Support Class?

This is really silly in my opinion, it seems that there is more to this than meets the eye. There are Male and Female characters, So, Why can I Not Pick a Male Character when I play the Support or a...

yeah its ridiculous imo, im a guy and want to play as a guy, even if i have to do challenges to unlock the skin id be fine with that, but having no male option at all for a class is just wild.
