account ban

Hi, I was banned yesterday for ‘Hateful Conduct’ for an inappropriate emblem my platoon leader equipped. I have been suspended for this before; but just recently, I went to play Battlefield 1 and was blocked by an account ban. Upon researching this is a permanent thing? I have been a Bf1 fan since its release, having the Bf1 edition xbox and controller, recently reaching level 100 and 50 on all four main classes. I have no reason to be hateful and do not typically use any game chat/microphone. I really would not like to lose all my skins, easter eggs, unlocks, XP, medals, progress, dog tags, etc for something that could have been easily handled differently. EA, can you instead remove/ban the platoon instead. Remove all the players from the platoon and delete the emblem instead of deleting me. I understand the rules of conduct and all that but this is out of my control, my buddy made the platoon almost 8 years ago and there has never been an issue until I was randomly suspended maybe less than a year ago. I haven’t left the platoon because it’s me and some old friends from middle school, why would I leave a platoon with all my old buddies. I’ve spend almost ten years on this game and I love it. Huge fan and history nerd and really had an impact on my interests and knowledge. EA can you please work out a compromise with me so I can resume my account progress.

    Hey there,

We're unable to review account bans here at the EA Forums. I will leave instructions below on how to check the ban status and send a dispute to the Terms of Service team.

How to check a ban or suspension status

    1. Sign in to your account.
    2. Select Account support.
    3. Choose Ban history to see details on current and past bans and suspensions.

Think your account was hacked? Follow our steps to help re-secure your account.

If you would like to dispute the ban:

How to appeal a lock, ban, or suspension

If you think the lock, ban, or suspension on your EA Account was a mistake, you can appeal the decision.

To appeal, contact us here, fill out the webform, and select Send.

Your case will be sent to our dedicated team for review. You can expect an email from noreply@ea.com about your case within 10 days, though sometimes it takes longer. The email will give you further details about our decision and how to dispute it if you think we’ve made a mistake. Our advisors can no longer transfer cases to our Terms of Service Moderation team.

Hi, I have sent disputes but have been declined with no explanation other than ‘Hateful Conduct’ and a description of the inappropriate emblem. I would like someone to recognize my dispute as not being subjected to be responsible for the platoon’s emblem.

battliefieldcat I'm sorry, but only the ToS team can overturn a ban. You could try appealing again as you get three attempts before they'll no longer accept them from you, but if you were using an emblem that broke the user agreement then you might not be successful (this is covered by clause 6 in the user agreement code of conduct if you wanted to check: https://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC/#section6). However, there is no harm in trying as they may make an exception.
