Forum Discussion
According to a few reply's on posts in the EA forums, EA is aware of the issue and investigating it.
In one of the more recent ones, an EA Community manager replied to a post 2 days ago, saying "Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Our team is currently investigating it". - (https://forums.ea.com/discussions/battlefield-franchise-discussion-en/bf4-server-connection-lost/11907351)
So.. that's cool and all to read, but EA's words aren't always promising..
Not sure if there's any more info about it, but I'm hoping we get something soon.
I do want to point out BF4 isnt the only game with this type of exploit.
NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered was also affected with a similar exploit. Turns out someone is cloning your EA-ID via Cheat Engine and is throwing your cloned account into another lobby, thereby kicking the other account from the lobby you have joined. It also allows the hacker to eavesdrop your mic thru in-game VoIP, even tho VoIP is disabled in game.
It is patched now and we havent had an issue with this game since, but ONLY because we made enough fuss for EA to start investigating. It is also suspected other EA games are also affected.
EA needs to seriously take a look at their issue with their EA servers regarding EAIDs as it seems to be the source of the problems.
