Using a VPN worked for me although It causes high latency and lag. I also suffer from this problem still
EDIT it seems that using the app smart port fowarding may have fixed my issues connecting to the servers you should try
Are you able to share how you did it? I can't seem to find any information on smart port forwarding and how to set it up.

Right click in the empty menu and you will see create port fowarding create one that is UDP and another that is TCP Where it shows the ip delete it and paste in your own which you can find by doing ipconfig in cmd Once you did the command get where it shows ipv4 And copy that adress and paste it in the ip bar in the app.
