No matter how good the next BF looks, you need to really nail anti-cheat

Is it so hard to give someone a time out if they get reported by more than X number of people within Y time frame?

This would at least get rid of those players who are openly doing stuff they are not supposed to. This would fix over half the problem players in BFV right now

The extra heavy aim assist in video games is one of the reasons these devices are on the rise. My suggestion of having non-aim assisted servers helps fight against these devices. If a game doesn't have aim assistance, you can't get tracked by these devices on the console (anything is possible on PC).

The devices are basically just macros, nothing fancy like some make them out to be, They do not auto aim. The devices can't tell what is one screen, they need player input to function. The game is doing the aiming, the devices just read incoming data.

So for example if this device reads incoming data and can tell of an aim slowdown on one axis (because of aim assistance) it can be programmed to be exploited. That's all the device is doing, reading and adjusting. Aim assist goes hand in hand with these 3rd party devices. Basic functions of these 3rd party devices are below. These are not all the functions and/ or abilities, but it's the most common.

Recoil management, Works by adjusting weapon values ingame and saves to profiles. Some of these new devices work so well that they can map in-real time (Random weapon bullet pattern spread in games helps in weakening this feature, but needs to be a true random pattern).

ADS (Aim Down Sight) spam (only works if the game has aim assist). Works by repeating the ADS / Aim button over and over (Talking, microseconds here). If the title doesn't have aim assist, you don't need to worry about this feature affecting you on console gameplay, PC is a different story.

Basic Repeat Macro. Just your basic repeat button command. Think of this like adding a button to repeat over and over. You want a single weapon to fire, this is how you do it.

These (uneducated) people (streamers) like to overuse the words, mod/s, hack/ed, and/ or auto aim, but it's far from the truth. Don't get caught up in the marketing ploy.

They're nothing really special about these devices. They don't mod any game files. They're basically just a bunch of macros.

Taken directly from Wiki: A macro (short for "macroinstruction" in computer science is a rule or pattern that specifies how a certain input should be mapped to a replacement output.

So for example the portion of these types of devices that handles recoil management is a macro that takes the input, applies an output. Mostly one with less recoil.

Again, The extra aim assist you hear from these devices is just leveraging the built in aim assist from the title by repeating the ADS / Aim command. Basically it's just pulling aim in the matter of microseconds. Works best for titles that have ADS lock on target type of aim assist (The type that centers your aim on the middle of the player, BF4, COD Warzone have this for example).

The last macro you hear on these devices is mostly just your basic macro. set a button to repeat over and over.

Again, if you take away aim assist altogether, you stop one of these features from working at all. The devices can't lock onto targets without the game having the feature to do it, wish is called aim assist.

Then the victim appeals and the guys reporting for giggles get the same but for longer. Let them try that again. People who might get mass targeted by trolls such as streamers could get whitelisted too.

I would take the risk for a few trolls mass reporting  incidents that I can count on my fingers every year over having at least one blatant cheater per day

In World of Warcraft there is a votekick feature in pug dungeons and raids and I do not recall being votekicked (for reasons other than disconnecting) for more than like 10-15 times over like ~10 years that they have had this system.

I did not specified the times one needs to be reported cause I was not sure about how many reports would be enough to make it work without a "squad of friends" having that power. It should definitely be set to happen after more 10+ reports (how many people got 10+ goons to do their bad jokes?).
