I Can't install and play the original "C&C The First Decade" disk on iMac 2013

Has anyone had the same issues while installing the game?

When I installed the original C&C The First Decade CD ROM, but when I tried to get the game started, my iMac doesn't seem to support it. The CD ROM box says Windows OS...no Mac so I'm assuming I would need something to make it work.

I then went to the EA website and I was able to download and install the EA App and I found the game under "All EA games under one roof" catalog, strategy genre.

However, when I select the any of the C&C options, I get the following error when trying to upload the page: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading http://www.ea.com (see browser console for more information)."

Can anyone help?

    EA_Mako,

Thank you kindly for the response.

I'm going to try again with my Windows laptop but I had a similar issue because it is a Windows 11 and for some reason it didn't like to run the game after I installed. I may need to download an app or software that allows my newer laptop to run old .exe programs.

Do you have any recommendations about that option?

    Hey sionuno,

Unfortunately, the vast majority of the Command & Conquer titles, particularly the older ones, are only available on Windows. While an internet search will turn up a number of options to run Windows programs on a Mac, I'm afraid those would not be supported options that we could suggest, help set up, or troubleshoot directly.

The main title you might see available for Mac would be Command & Conquer Rivals, as a mobile app through the Apple store.

If you're seeing that error in the EA app itself, it may help to clear the cache with these steps - just keep in mind that while you're able to launch a Mac version of EA app and may see the same games as on the website here, that doesn't make them compatible with Mac sadly.
