Crash on PC (Steam)

Hi,

I play the game on steam and after 14h without any problem my game just start crashing. At the beginning, it will crash after a few minutes but now it crash in the menu before I can launch my save or 20sec after I charged my save. So now, I can't play at all. Most of the time, there is no error code. The game just stop and go back to the desktop. I got maybe 40 crashes and 2 times there was an error code with the name of my GPU. I tried to take screenshot but it doesn't appear anymore in my last crashes. When the game crash, my CPU and GPU temperatures are not very high, maybe 50°C.

My config :

CPU : I7-9700KF 3,60GHz

RAM : 16 Go

GPU : RTX 2070 SUPER

Windows 10

I tried :

- reinstalling the latest GPU driver, three times

- reinstalling old GPU driver

- verifying integrity of game files on steam

- reinstalling the game

- restarting a new save in the game

- Disable the steam overlay

- Disable MSI afterbuner (My GPU is not overclock)

- Changing the graphics / video setting in the game

I run out of idea ...

@Rokkair Do you have the game installed on the C driver or the Windows Storage Space?

Hi @Rokkair Thanks for the update, to check your Dxdiag shows the D driver as a "Microsoft Storage Space Device" do you have it set up in something like a Raid system, or should it just be a standard SSD storage device?

Hi, yes it's normally just a standard SSD storage device, I don't know why it show as a "Microsoft Storage Space Device". I tried to delete it and set it up as physical disk but I don't have the option in the storage settings (See the jpeg file)

Hi @Rokkair, ok it may just be how windows is seeing it then I wanted to check in case it was causing an issue with the game running as intended.

To check can we try the following as well?

    Hi,

I did reinstall my game a fourth time this week and the game didn't crash for 4h (just enough time to finish it). I still don't know what causes this because I did reinstall the game 2 times back to back in a row. The first time the game was still hardcrashing in the menu and the second time it's was fine (at least for 4 hours).

Just to be sure, I ran the "System File Checker Tool"

I looked at your Troubleshooting Graphics issues Guide :I already reinstalled my graphics drivers multiples times even with older drivers just to try at the beginning but it's was not helpful.

I run the game on Steam. I tried running the game without the steam overlay or MSI afterburner/Riva tuner in the background but the game was still crashing.

My first reflex when the game crash was to verify the game files on steam but the was still crashing after that.

All my others games were working fines, it's was my only game that would crash like that.

I will let you know if the game start to crash again but for now it's fine.

    Thanks for your time.
