Graphical issue

Hi there.

I am having problems with Dragon age: The Veilguard - it is getting to a point where I almost cannot play the game. My EA ID is Sigidus and I play the game on my PC through the steam app, I do not have the EA app.

I am experiencing severe graphical issues where I am getting these massive texture planes slicing through the environment as I move the character and camera around. They are both horizontal and vertical and are especially bad in the lighthouse, but I have seen them all over the place. The character is able to run through them but they are completely opaque.

I have tried restarting the game and computer, adjusting my graphics settings to anything from the lowest to the highest setting and changed from full screen to windowed mode. I have also tried making new characters however the problem persists and the "walls" seem to appear in the same places.

My computer specs are:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8500 3.00 GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
GPU: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060Ti 16GB

  • There is a great unbalance between video card and CPU. You could try to adjust (lowering) the voltage and/or frequencies for video card until you get a stable rendering. Follow this guide https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-undervolt-gpu/

Also make sure REBar is enabled on bios (UEFI) and don't use any overclock for CPU and RAM. A shaders cache clean-up is highly recommended to eliminate possible errors during compilation.

Great thanks so much! I will try out these things and see if they work :)
