Radio silence on bugs/crashes?

Has anyone seen any response from any EA community manager in the last week on this forum/any other avenue of communication?

The last response I've been able to find was from 6 days ago, and those were just pre-generated responses replying to threads from pre-patch asking if they were still having an issue.

I'd like to see some acknowledgement/information gathering occurring, especially with regards to the hard crashing and/or game save corruption issues.

Currently the game is functionally unplayable for a number of console users (XBOX+PlayStation) due to the hard crashing, and a number of PC players as well, and there has been no acknowledgement of the patch not addressing the issue.

  • Bump.

Has there been any communication anywhere? They posted the patch notes for PC, and then shut off comments. I still haven't seen any comments by any staff since last week.

EA_Illium my friend, what is going on? Can we please get a confirmation of awareness of these bugs?

I have a crash during the final romance scene for Lucanis, so can't move forward with the game unless I don't do the scene.  So kind of stuck - can't see any responses, or much discussion about odd game play crashes.

Yeah, there's a few threads that have moved off the recents by now about crashing, but most of them are about the issue I'm referencing where it's hard crashing without a seemingly replicatable trigger.

There's a post on the dragonageveilguard subreddit about crashing during Lucanis final romance scene, but not many comments. I think I've also seen a thread o here somewhere too.

Thanks - I saw someone say uninstall and reinstall the game, and that seems to have worked for me.

  • Finished trespasser today, was stoked to dive into DAV. But couldn't. After updating graphics driver, clearing extra space on my drive, I think I saw the character screen *once*. I kept getting this directx memory error, "failed to allocate memory" or something like that. I've got the minimum ram for the game. I hope the devs at least *try* to fix it. But if anyone here has a solution I'll give it a shot.

  • I'm waiting to hear something about it. I suppose when EA/Bioware sees the player count dropping across all platforms because no one can play it, they'll finally acknowledge the bugs and crashes?

We must be fade-sensitive considering how much "ghosting" they have been doing.

I talked to customer support last night and they said they were aware of the issue but the conversation was absolutely awful and didn't inspire confidence that the issue was being communicated properly from customer service -> dev team.

I feel like people would be less frustrated if they could see a thread/post/tweet/whatever from a dev saying "Hey, we are aware of the crashing. We are looking into it currently."

Because the other part of that is that if the dev team needs more info on the crashes, there is no place for that information to be centralized. Which means you are dependent on the information that people are going out of their way to provide.

I woke up today and saw that there was a patch so I was hopeful, but my heart sank when I saw that it only mentioned the shader crashes. Most people seem to be having different problems - I've been actively checking the Steam discussions (I play on PC), here, & the Discord but it seems like A LOT of people still aren't able to play. I'm so disappointed.
