HI. 

When shutting down my PC, i encounter the following error:

EADesktop.exe - Application Error

The exception Breakpoint

A breakpoint has been reached.

Click on OK to terminate the program

Within my household, there are 3 different PCs, one of which is only used to play the sims 4 and general web browsing. All 3 have this issue when the eadesktop application is running in the background upon shutting down. I have seen in previous closed threads from EA employees, That the issue is with the end users PCs and not an issue with the application. The fact that this occurs on all 3 PCs (if the application has been running at one point during the session) I think directly points to an issue with the application and not the PC, plus the fact that this only occurs if the application has been running (I.E. if eadesktop/origin is disabled on startup, and not opened before shutting down, the issue does not occur.)

On the off chance that the above is a coincidence and is not related to the application (as EA suggests), I have done the following troubleshooting steps:

1. DISM Check: 

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

sfc /scannow

All Came back with no issues found.

2. chkdsk C: /r

no issues were found

3. Memory leak check with mdsched.exe

no issues were found

4. Installing on different admin accounts / fresh Windows installs

The same issue occurs on new admin accounts or fresh Windows install

I would to understand if there has been any further development on this issue since the previously closed threads, or if anyone else can recommend a solution that I have not yet thought off.
