I had the same thing happen to me this morning! It was fine until I went out of the game and tried to go back, and the Launcher wouldn't load correctly. After that, the EA app disappeared.

Hello,
I understand that Windows 7 and Windows 8 are no longer officially supported. However, I would like to suggest a possible compromise.
Would it be possible to make the last EA App version that supported these operating systems available as an offline-only launcher? In this mode, the app could run without internet connectivity and simply allow users to launch already installed single-player games like Sims. Online services such as updates, the store, multiplayer features, and account services could remain disabled.
This approach could preserve access to previously purchased games for users on older systems while avoiding security risks or maintenance costs related to online services.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Same situation. my Win7 PC is my main workstation. luckily i have an extra Win10 PC and the EA still works (even after an update). Tried copying the EA app from that pc to my Win7 pc - still doesnt work. Plus my Win7 pc can't take the Win10/11 upgrade. Hope you find a solution too.

im using windows pc with all the rights specs and fully updated. like many many others i have encountered this issue in the past few days after YEARS of the sims 4 running smoothly on this computer. it began with the sims 4 not opening, all the forums online said to uninstall EA app and redownload, so i did. now the EA app wont download, i have tried literally EVERY method of resolve i can find online. updated my computer about 4 times, cleared cache for everything, deleted every EA file from my computer including mods, cleared local app data, ran everything as administrator 10 times, used different browsers, literally every single fix i can find. nothing is working. all i can find is other people experiencing this issue or similar, offering their own ideas with absolutely no input from EA itself. i find it absurd that we are left to our own devices to figure these things out, and after 12 years and over £2000 spent i expect to be able to play the game.

Hello. I merged your message with the already existing thread for this issue. Unfortunately, versions of Windows prior to 10 are no longer supported.

Apologies for the confusion. I didn't see Windows 10 being mentioned.
What is happening when you try to download the EA App?
