Cannot download anything from EA App

Title says it all. No matter which game I choose, it will not download. 

I originally thought it was just an issue with Sims 4 which I've been trying to solve for some time now with no success. Decided to try another game and also have the same issue. 

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling EA App, I've cleared the cache, and turned off the firewall as well to see if that was the issue as well. I've tried the fixes that google suggests though other EA help pages with nothing working. I am able to download Sims and other games from Steam with no issue, so not sure what's going on with EA not being able to. That said, EA also blocks me from playing sims through Steam so not sure what's going on there either. 

Would really appreciate some help in figuring out what's going on and how to fix it. 

I did do a dxdiag as well in case that helps anyone see what could be the potential issue.

    Thanks for the detailed rundown, and props for trying a solid list of troubleshooting steps already. Sounds like you've been through the wringer with this.

    That said, “cannot download anything” leaves us with a few too many unknowns to work with. To help narrow this down, could you clarify a few things:

    • What exactly happens when you try to download a game? Do you get an error message, or does the download just hang/fail silently?
    • Are you using a VPN or any third-party antivirus that might be interfering?
    • Have you tried running the EA app as an administrator?

    Also, just to confirm—are your games showing as owned in your library, and do you have enough space on your drive?

    Once we’ve got a bit more info, we’ll be in a much better spot to figure out what’s actually going on. Right now, we’re just playing guesswork with half the puzzle pieces.
