Cannot link accounts Steam to EA App

Summarize your bug Cannot link accounts. The Steam and EA App account linking process never completes.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Login into EA App using steam. 2. It will ask for email-id, where I put my pre-existing email linked to my EA account. 3. It will recognize which account I want to link to. 4. Last step is to link the account after we have confirmed from both ends Steam and EA throughout the process. 5. The Bug appears "Something went wrong" Another Way where I get the same response. 1. Open steam and launch the game 2. It will open EA App to login 3. I login and it asks me to link accounts 4. I press link and the Bug Appears "Something went wrong"
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing. It tells me to head over to Steam to start over again.
What do you expect to see? The Steam and EA App accounts getting linked successfully

SOLVED!!! GUYS I LINKEDD MY ACCOUNT😭🤩 !!!!!!!
Here's what I did :
- So my name on steam was pretty large, and it did include brackets.
- I renamed my steam profile name to a two-letter word.
- I followed the login steps through my browser
- AND NO MORE ~~"Something Went Wrong"~~ This time it was "Your account is linked" 😌

Hey @Xb147,

Could you try to go to https://help.ea.com, click on Sign In in the top-right corner and sign in with your Steam account from there, to see if you are running into the same issue?

Nope,😢
1. I tried login in through the sign in page where we get to choose which platform I want to login from.
2. I choose Steam, I login into steam on the browser. Then EA asks for permission on Steam, I press accept.
3. It asks me for my DOB and then my email address. I put in my email which is already connected to my EA account.
4. I confirm my email through OTP. It detects the account accurately and asks me to confirm linking with my Steam account.
5. I press confirm... the same result "Something went wrong" It then asks to me go back to login page to start again.

@Xb147, gotcha. So you're running into the same issue via the EA app and the help.ea.com website? Hmm. Is it maybe possible that your Steam account is an underage account?

I WANT TO PLAY MY EA GAMES I BOUGHT ON STEAM!!! WHY IS IT NOT LINKING!!!???? 😢😢😠😬
I HAVE TRIED TO LINK STEAM TO EA EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE I POSTED THIS BUG REPORT.
All other ways Google, Xbox, Apple etc. work perfectly fine. BUT THIS STEAM IS NOTTTT LINKING AAAA :/

No I'm not using a VPN while linking my accounts.
Is there a issue from Steam side? What is it that is causing this problem?🤔

Hello, Ive got the same problem.I have never linked any of my steam accounts(I have 2) and i downloaded Battlefield 1 revolution on my main steam account, after that I opened it and tells me to link my steam acc with EA I have never had a EA account, so I download EA and create a account ( The EA account is the same as my main steam account ) and i reapetedly get the same message "Something went wrong" , please help.😣
