Can't login on EA Desktop with my microsoft account

I'm from Brazil and, for some reason, I just can't log in to EA Desktop with my Microsoft Account (Game Pass)right now. It has always worked just fine, but for some reason when I try to log-in (and I always have to do it manually since the option to stay signed-in is apparently also bugged) the Microsoft Login screen just closes and I'm back to the original EA Desktop Login Screen. If I try to login again, the Microsoft window pops up only to immediatelly close again. If I close the app, it still runs in the background, I have to forcibly end the task for it restart, and even then the problem just persists.

Is the service down right now or something? Because that's trully annoying.

I tried contacting EA for support, but this site just keeps redirecting me into the self-help section, which is not helpful at all, and I don't know if re-installing the app would also erase the game I'm currently playing for my computer, and I don't want to go through the trouble of redownloading and remodding it again.

    @EA_Leeuw Okay, I've managed to make it work by changing the password on my EA Account, which should've been the same as my xbox Microsoft Account since, as far as I'm aware, I never had an EA account before (only had an origin one, which, again, has another password). Apparently my EA account password was different than the Microsoft Account (I have no idea why), and by resetting it, I was able to login. It's still very weird and most likely a bug.

    Im also having the same problem and it seems i cant see downloaded ea games in my xbox app.

    Hey @Funcheetos,

    When you open the EA Desktop app and you login normally with your EA account that is connected to your Microsoft account, does it work that way?

    @EA_Leeuw Nop. It says my credentials are wrong or have expired.

    If I try to reinstall the app, will I have to re-download the game? Because it's Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and that's a huge download.

    @Funcheetos, ah yeah that is a huge download indeed.

    No, normally you should not have to reinstall the game whenever you reinstall the EA app.

    Have you tried to perform a password reset already of your EA account to see if you can login that way?

    @Funcheetos, ah, look at that! I am happy to hear that a password reset has fixed the issue for you!

    So whenever you have an Origin account, this is your EA account. 🙂

    You indeed need to have an EA account to download/play EA games via the EA app, even if you have EA Play via Xbox Pass. The Microsoft and EA accounts need to be connected to each other and that way you can download/play the games.

    @EA_Leeuw Yeah, but the password for my Origin account is a different password than my Microsoft one (when I tried to edit my password instead of resetting it, it didn't accept Origin's password). So I really have no clue what my EA Account password was before this.
