"Couldn't connect to servers"

I somehow got it to work ONCE. No idea what fixed it because it clearly isn't still working.

I've tried turning off windows firewall and that doesn't seem to help either.


I did that thing they mentioned in the forums about turning some language beta thing on. Nothing.

I've reinstalled Visual C++


Updated my Drivers

Did a Clean Boot

I've turned on DMZ via my router

I've tried an account that I KNOW works on my laptop

literally everything else listed on their canned responses and help articles

I've uninstalled and reinstalled LOADS of times

Nothing I try seems to work. It always says "Couldn't connect to servers"

Anyone got ANYTHING else that might help?  I'm desperate.

    I didn't list it but I tried that too. No dice.

    EDIT: I know it isn't a login issue because it's clearly able to tell when a log in is correct or not.

    I also just tried your suggestion again and it still didn't work.

    I have also tried all of those things and still nothing.

    also when I tried to link some EA games I got from steam, I get a message telling me I cant link them because I have an old account that I can not access anymore.

    WTF EA???

    oh boy, I do LOVE waiting for 2 weeks for another response from EA that still hasn't come.

    C'mon guys. PLease? Anyone?

    Bump as well - seems like i'm never buying another EA game again - this is a joke!
