This is my issue too. I have:
- uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- reuninstalled and moved game to another drive
- run EA launcher in administrator
- run game in administrator
- run the compatibility troubleshooter and tried 4 different solutions
- added a settings.txt file
- turned on disable fullscreen optimizations in the properties compatibility tab
- checked and updated nvidia drivers
- checked all system drivers
- uninstalled and reinstalled the game again
- run everything in administrator mode
I cannot find ANY other suggestions or solutions anywhere online and customer service can't help

It does seem like EA, does not care about the members who are having this problem with Dead Space 2. If the message is that the error is at their end, how can we fix it from our end.
As I have read, from those with the problem, the EA staff, are saying that the problem is at our end and we should fix it. It seems everyone has tried something to fix the problem.
As I have Dead Space 2008, 2023, Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3, if this lack of support is EA, then I think I will not be purchasing anymore of their games.
Out of all the Dead Space games only Dead Space 2 is having the problem. I think as a group we have covered all ways to fix the problem at our end, what is EA doing at their end to fix the problem. Tried again this morning, no change. Can not even use the DeadSpace2.exe file to open the game, takes you directly to EA game page and you get the same error message.
I recently had my computer upgraded to play Dead Space 2023, On Dead Space 2, I have used the repair mode, un-installed, reinstalled the game a number of times. Sent error reports 5 times on this matter and nothing has been done to fix the problem. EA has made it impossible to play the whole set of games as it was intended.
