can you play Dead Space 2 now? i have same problem with me3, still cannot play today
- @madmanium No, I can't play.
I suppose, i've resolved this issue.
You need to open registry editor on your pc (push win+R and then use command regedit).
Then use CTRL+F and write the part of the game's name - for example - "battlefront".
After that delete all files, that you can find (use finder until all results are end).
After that you need to restore game files (just launch the game and EA launch res process).
After that your problem must be resolved.
Hope i can help you!
- @2b15139f37623963 didn't help, still need to double check my connection. 🙂
It's sad man...
May be that's help another one...

Well this bites, because I don't know what to do to solve this...I picked up Star Wars Squadrons through The Epic sale(free game) and I've been dealing with the Double check your connection or try again later...There is no issues with my machine, this is happening as soon as EAC loads, and some places suggest bypassing the EAC to fix that, tried it , says I'm not authorized to play the game...I don't have EA Pass, but I am a former origin user, and I recovered some other games I used to play while struggling to get this running...In fact I was downloading Command and Conquer Tiberian Dawn when it first reported the Doublecheck your connection issue...To be fair, I tried both on wifi and on wired connection, with the same results, tried disabling my firewall services, Repairing the game, and checking some compatibility, as well as forcing a repair of EAC.
My pc specs will run GTAV, and Kingdom Hearts 3, along with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade:
Ryzen 5 5600G
32GB Ram,
AMD 6500XT Mech 2 OC
I'm getting the same issue on Battlefield 2042 (via Gamepass) and Star Wars Squadrons (via Epic).
Game failed to launch.
Double check your connection or try again later.
My internet connection is fine with everything else. It's just the EA app. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps, nothing works.
A solution that worked for me, kill the EA app and EA background service, then find the EA Desktop instalation folder (usually "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop") make a backup of the "EA Desktop" folder and then replace its content with the content of the "outdatedEADesktop" folder
@ialohrrNope, didn't work. I have found all the answers on EA.com about this problem, I have tried every possble sollution and nothing have helped. So I come to conclusion it's EA games launcher problem and EA only can fix this.
Here's how I fixed the multiple issues I was having, after a lot of troubleshooting and zero help from EA:
BF2042 fails to launch with "double check your connection" error:
- Set bf2042.exe, bf2042_launcher.exe and eadesktop.exe to run as admin
- Delete C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\easyanticheat.sys
NFS Unbound fails to launch with no error:
- Install windows 10 update 22h2 using the windows 10 update assistant tool (since ordinary windows update was failing with a black screen reboot loop). Apparently this update is required for the game to run, although I couldn't find that information anywhere.
