EA App closing instantly? Read here.

Wanted to get this solution out to more folks as best I can. 

If the app is closing instantly on you with no real errors. There's a chance you've hit what a few people seem to have. The issue for me has been with DNS resolution. 

I've reproduced the issue several times over, and without bothering with tracking down exactly which domain is the issue, I can say swapping my DNS resolver to Google's service has worked every time so far. Your mileage may vary.
