EA app deleted my origin account, games are gone

It was fine until a few days ago when I opened origin and it wanted me to install the EA app. Not knowing any better, I installed it because it said it would be the same account and my games would be there (paraphrasing). When the EA app launched, it's the same email/password but an entirely different account and my games are gone. This means that when I try to log in using the exact same login I used for my origin account, it brings me to a new account it created with nothing on it. It's like downloading the EA app was overriding my origin account while also deleting everything I had downloaded. I don't know what to do, I've been googling for hours. I just want to play the sims ☹️
