Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that your EA app is crashing.
Quite a few players here have shared fixes that worked for them, so hopefully some of them may help you as well.
I’m also sharing some additional common troubleshooting steps below.
Enable EA Background Service:
- Search for Services in Windows.
- Find EA Background Service, set the "Startup type" to Automatic, and click Start.
Clear App Cache (App Recovery):
- Search for App Recovery in your Windows Start menu or run AppRecovery.exe from the installation folder.
- Select Clear Cache.
Repair the Application:
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Right-click EA App, select Uninstall, then choose Repair in the pop-up window.
System Updates:
- Ensure both Windows Update and your Graphics Drivers are fully updated to the latest versions.
Clean Boot to identify if third-party software is causing the crash.
So I tried most of these. They didn’t work until I did the control panel and repair one. But when the pop up came to either repair or uninstall the game, I accidentally clicked uninstall instead. So I was just going to redownload the ea app, but now the ea app downloaded thing won’t work. I try double clicking it and it pops up says connecting to the ea app or downloading, then just disappears and nothing happens. Or it starts downloaded and says there’s an error and stop downloading. The downloaded is freshly downloaded. So I’m assuming it’s a problem with my laptop now. Any ideas?

Would you mind trying our installation troubleshooting steps first, then letting me know if they help or if anything changes? Thank you for your patience.

I followed the instruction. I was connected to the internet fine. But I didn’t have the EA Desktop folder anywhere. But I did add the exe files to the antivirus firewall allow. Nothing has changed though, it still does the same thing when I try to download the app.
