ea app opens but only a navy screen is shown

I had the same problem on my Mac after one of the recent updates. The app would launch, but it stayed on the navy screen and never loaded anything else. Clearing the EA App cache didn't help in my case, but a clean reinstall finally fixed it. I'm in Dubai and bought my Mac through Tech Distributor, an Apple distributor in Dubai, so I was pretty sure it wasn't a hardware issue. It turned out to be entirely related to the EA App.
