This issue remains UNRESOLVED with no communication from EA despite multiple posts from myself and others about it.
The EA App will not launch, it crashes without even the option to log in, just shows 'EA Crash Reporter' in the task manager. This has been happening since November 2025.
What I have tried:
- Reinstall/Repair App/Clear Cache
- Contact EA Support (useless, don't bother they can't fix it)
- Contact Microsoft Support (say its a problem with EA)
- Clean Boot
- Modify Firewall/Security Settings
- Update Windows 11 & Drivers
- Compatibility Unicode-8 thing mentioned in other threads
- New user account
- Reinstall Windows
The only (temporary) fix I have found so far have been a new user account and reinstalling Windows. Works temporarily but the problem resurfaces within weeks/months, like I said this has been ongoing since November.
The situation I am now in is that I have paid this company THOUSANDS and cannot access my games unless I wipe my PC or make a new user every few months/weeks because we are held hostage by their unnecessary launcher that DOESN'T WORK.
Every other App, gaming or otherwise works perfectly, I have no issues with anything EXCEPT the EA App therefore the logical conclusion is that something has gone wrong with your App and you have made no efforts to communicate or fix it despite multiple reports from many people on these forums.
Can someone from EA please respond regarding these crashing issues, there are many posts about it and they go unanswered. Thanks.

YES! me too! I have spent a lot of money on Sims 4 game and packs ect. I cannot access nor play at all! PLEASE address this issue. My error code is : INST-3-1920
