It says "Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you, or launch one of you installed games to play offline". When I click on The Sims 4 box nothing happens. So did I just spend $80 on expansions I can't play?
It was bad enough the EA app signs you out every time your device goes to sleep, but then it won't remember your login and you can't play offline.
I didn't think a worse delivery/play portal than Origin could exist, but EA has really outdone themselves here. Issues over two years old from beta still persisting.
Our internet goes out randomly I got forced to update at first it wouldn't even download. I finally figure that out and now I found out we can't play offline. Makes me not wanna send anymore money on Sims 😒 my origin work offline just fine.

Replying to this so I can follow for more information regarding a fix. It's almost like the company doesn't remember what a hot mess it was when Sim City required online access to play a solo, offline game. It is incredibly frustrating to have to use my phone as a hotspot to be able to log in to a launcher to immediately take if offline to play a game that I have put a ton of money and time into. And then, I have to leave the launcher running when I'm done and make sure my computer doesn't shut off or restart to avoid having to log back into the launcher that only works part of the time anyway. I just want to be able to play the offline games I paid for with all of the dlc I bought showing up all of the time without having to go online. This launcher has so many issues...we should never have been force migrated to it before it was fully functional.

Why does EA think that this is in any way acceptable? You can be certain that if ford forced me to update my truck and i was left unable to drive they would be doing more than "apologizing". Which, by the way, EA has thus far refused to do. Be aware that many, many, attorneys are compiling evidence for civil suits. I personally believe that this app rollout is tantamount to theft of personal property. Image if samsung forced you to watch dvds on their device, then forced you to replace that device with one that doesn't work. This is unforgivable. Nobody forced EA to ditch origin before the replacement was anywhere near ready for release. The most infuriating part is your absolute refusal to acknowledge that you messed up. This will not stand. The law is very clear, digital property is still property and you aren't allowed to steal it. Give me my games back.
Doesn't help. I did that and I STILL can't launch games offline

Please keep us posted. A class action seems like the only way forward at this point. It is theft
Strong agree. Ea is literally the absolute worst. There is no reason that I shouldn’t be able to pull this game up offline. Literally been playing for 20 years and have NEVER had this problem until they forced me download this stupid app. At least origin wasn’t this ridiculous. Seriously get it together.

Is there an ETA on the "offline mode not being able to launch games" fix?
The issue has been first reported on February and it's April now.
Any update would be greatly appreciated.
