EA App Won't Launch

I have been a loyal player of The Sims for over 10 years. For over 2 months now, I have been unable to play because the EA App crashes every time I launch it.  When the app opens, it crashes and says "unexpected crash". I have contacted EA support multiple times and have tried all of the steps they have suggested. None of them have worked. I've un-installed and re-installed the game, done a factory reset on my PC, and deleted certain files etc. I am frustrated as nothing is working and I don't know when I will be able to play The Sims again. A support member from EA says it appears to be a bug on their end, so I just have to sit around and wait for it to maybe be solved.
