EA Background Services CPU Usage Problem

I have notice that every time I open up the EA App, the EA Background Services task jumps from ~0-1% CPU usage/utilization to 90%+ usage/utilization and remains at the 90%+ until I close the app window. This happens if there is a game or App update(s) being downloaded.
This is not normal and needs to be investigated and resolved. No launcher/update platform app and it's associated background services should ever utilize this much of the CPU. Serious optimization work needs to be done on the EA Background Services.

I have provided screenshots of my Task Manager showing the EA App issue when the App window is open/active and another when the window has been closed.

I have also provided a screenshot of my Task Manager showing another well known launcher/updater App, for comparison/reference purposes only. The comparison app runs at around 8% CPU utilization/usage, when it is actively downloading an update for either a game or the app itself.

EA is a bull**bleep** cvompany like they always used to be and just because I download a game, my CPU load increases to 100%. While Playing everything is back to normal.

  • Installing a game brings my PC to its knees, currently......god knows what it's doing!

  • I never did find a way to fix this issue and I have yet to see any EA App patch/update information that says they have corrected the issue.
