EA Desktop just won't start

Really similar problem. App won't open on any of my computers. I have two that have it one there. In the case of my laptop, the app would not connect so I attempted to reopen. It then would not even let me log in saying it couldn't connect (this is on a computer less than a year old and is fully up to date). After multiple tries, I got the app open, but it kept pulling up the box telling me I had the game and was asking me to launch or repair the game. I tried both multiple times, if I clicked repair, my computer would ask for the EA  app to make changes and then just pull up the same box, if I clicked launch, my computer would tell me I have none of the files and that it cannot launch an app I have not files for. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling multiple times but it just keeps doing this.
