EA friends is not populating both in app and in any game.

My buddy's and I are trying to play Battlefield 2042 but friends list is no populating in game, on the overlay, or in the app. Battlefield and the EA app is booting. We checked if there was a outage and EA says everything is online. I tried repairing the app and uninstalling and reinstalling and its still the same issue, and it seems like there's a similar issue between other users who reported it on the forums. does anyone know what's going on?
