Also experiencing this issue, using the latest version of the EA App and a fresh install of the game on a clean install of Windows 11. I saw someone suggest removing 'SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe', but that doesn't make a difference for me. It still launches twice every time I open the game.
Yep same issue. Just rebuilt my PC and had to uninstall Origin and install EA, and link my Origin Library. I've been opening Task Manager and when the second instance of JFO opens I end task the second launch.
Only thing of note is when watch Task Manager while the first instance of JFO opens, the EA app will be there running, then it will disappear from the list of running programs, then reappears, then the second instance of JFO opens over the first running one. Don't know what this means or if it has nothing to do with the issue.
Wish I had more info to help, but I'm still at a loss how to fix it.
Luckily as long as you shut down the second instance of the game it runs fine after that. It's just an annoying issue to have.
