Summarize your bug I'm unable to play Battlefield 3 after being forced to update from Origin to EA Desktop.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to launch Battlefield 3 via EA Desktop
What happens when the bug occurs? Error message saying "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later"
What do you expect to see? I expect Battlefield 3 to launch after joining a server via the browser
I've tried:
- Updating EA Desktop
- Updating Windows 10
- Uninstalling / reinstalling EA Desktop
- Uninstalling / reinstalling Battlefield 3
- Running Firefox as admin
- Running Steam as admin
- Running EA Desktop as admin
- Running EA Launcher as admin
- Pointing EA Desktop's download directory to Steam's game file location
- Joining a match via Firefox
- Joining a match via Chrome
- Joining a match via Microsoft Edge
None of these have worked. I continue to receive an error message when trying to launch Battlefield 3.
I've opened a support ticket, but have gotten the runaround for about 20 replies now. They keep telling me to check help.ea.com or answers.ea.com, though they do not link me to a direct solution.
