Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed not launching on EA app

Summarize your bug Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed not launching. Every time I hit Play, I get an error message saying "Your game failed to launch Double-check your connection or try again later. So it is now unplayable... I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple time with no success, rebooted my pc as well but nothing worked...
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to play NFS Shift 2 I guess
What happens when the bug occurs? Game won't launch
What do you expect to see? My game launching

Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed not launching. Every time I hit Play, I get an error message saying "Your game failed to launch Double-check your connection or try again later. So it is now unplayable... I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple time with no success, rebooted my pc as well but nothing worked...

    Mine game start from there normally.

    Not working still...

    Since it's an old game it has no store page so I cannot get to that screen you use.

    Does anyone know what's happening, any EA tech support members around willing to help??

  • I got fed up with EA support.

    It's ridiculous that you pay them (I did back in the day) and just couldn't care less to help... Redirecting you to a forum where no actual tech support is going to help you is not useful customer support, is just BS and  trying as hard as possible to not do their job.

    So my solution to this problem was to go through all my old pc stuff, find the physical copy and installing it using a dvd drive.

    So yeah, thanks for not helping EA!

    I recently tried both option, download and disk. 

    Still won't launch.

    Has EA bothered coming back to you yet?

    Hey guys. Heads up I got the to fix my game.

    Ok so what i checked out was when the EA app is in an offline state it says the license has expired.

    So If you read my transcript below i tried to have the remove and re add it.

    The Gent sorted me out and the game runs once more.
