I have a Mac but Origin keeps telling me to upgrade to the EA app, even though there isnt one for mac, I havent been able to play ANY of my games when i did update, and they have been 'preparing' to download for the past TWO DAYS what do i do?? I have already tried restarting my laptop a total of SIX TIMES and tried deleting and redowning Origin and the EA app too many time's that I lost count, i am honestly at a loss on what to do. @JoSigs_hssb Please create an EA App error report, as descibed here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/ and post the report ID in this thread. There's a Windows thread about this same issue, but I don't want to merge your post with that since it's not clear whether that iteration of the error is OS-specific. Either way, a report ID would be the first request from EA people looking into the problem.

@c3ba9309ce2e40c3 Thanks. Can you open the Sims 4 Packs folder and trash EP05. Empty the trash then run the EA App Recovery tool again. Restart your Mac then open EA App and try to download Seasons again. It would really help if you could run the Error Reporter too and post the number here.

Help! Running EA App on Mac (Origin)Currently stuck in 'Preparing mode for The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff'.I've tried clear cache twice now and have followed some steps I found on here and still nothing. It won't even let me cancel the download as the button just doesn't seem to work...Any help please!!

When i go on origin, it downloaded in a minute but the ea app popup wont let me play the game itself, then when i go on ea games its still stuck on preparing, i have tried everything from restarting the app, software updates, clear caches but it still wont load. My internet is really high so i dont know if its loading or not. I cant even see the percentage its stuck on

EA App is now available for Mac users in some territories, as you've now discovered by downloading and installing it. You cannot go back to Origin so let's try and get your games working in EA App.

Are you getting any error messages pop up?

Which games are you trying to play? Sims 3 and Sims 4 are the only ones currently available in EA App for Mac.

How did you delete Origin and EA App? Did you drag them to the trash or did you run the reset/recovery tools in each app before trashing them?

I uninstalled them, and then went into the files and brought them to trash and then emptied the trash, I was trying to play the sims 4 but when trying to download a pack, it has been stuck on preparing to download for 2 days and it wont allow me to play while the pack is ownloading, so i tried pausing the download or canceling it but it also wont let me do eaither of those

Can you please run the EA App Recovery tool - open EA App and click on Help > App Recovery in the Apple menu bar. If that doesn't work we'll try a manual reset/recovery.

I wanted to play The Sims 4 but it wouldn't let me use Origin anymore and moved me over to The EA App for Mac but everything went downhill from there... It was going ok at first and it was just downloading my packs until it came to High School Years. It has been stuck on downloading that pack since then and I cannot even pause or cancel the download. I have tried getting help from customer service but nothing seems to work. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled both Origin and The EA App to try to get something to work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

@hazelg27 As mentioned, EA app is now available for Mac users - everyone had a notification within their Origin app saying this and making us prepared to upgrade. Be aware that EA app is new and currently, there are issues, for example - I have issues installing The Sims 4 packs and kits, so only base game is playable. EA is working on fixing it. Unfortunately, we just have to wait until there'll be an update pop-up on EA app.

EA App is only available to a very small number of Mac users in certain geographical locations currently. It hasn't been rolled out everywhere.
