@Berike666 Just a stupid question from me but did you remember to check the remember me box at the login screen?
You didnt mention that you did and you need to check this if you want the app to remember you.
Of course I did it.
It's absurd how the EA team don't give a sh*** to us... no reply from them, nothing...
They destroyed Battlefront franchise, now killing Battlefield with all this incompetence... what next? Fifa will be next game destroyed by this incompetence?
Yes, and it still doesn't work and keeps asking me every time I fire up EA App...I will never buy another EA game just because of this BS!!!!
there was another thread: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/EA-Desktop-keeps-logging-out-after-every-session/td-p/10225436/page/4
this bug is more than 2 years old and still not fixed!
come on EA! it´s a BASIC feature that doesn´t work!
- @Berike666 Yeah, Im having the same issue. I just installed and switched over to it from origin recently. Its been like 2 weeks or so and it keeps asking me to log in. Its super annoying.
- @Berike666 Same here, happening since long time. And yes, I clicked the checkbox to keep logged in.
OS: Windows 11 glad I stopped buying games from EA. Saddly I wanted to play some C&C RA recently just to be reminded of how terrible Origin (now EA) is.
never buying anything outside of steam again.
This EA App totally sucks why does it not remember????????
This has been a issue since long as in more than 8 years and it should be an easy fix but its not fixed yet so we know where this is going. there must be logical reason to why such a simple thing is left unfixed even in 2023. So I have no hope this will ever be fixed. it will help us better remember our password as we type it everyday :D :P
This is a feature to help you remember your password. This feature also helps you keep using your memory. Brilliant isn't it. And we get this for free from EA.

Few days ago, after one of those background updates, EA app started to forget my credentials either. Never happened to me before. Now everytime I start the app I have to put my login/pass again. Just great, especially after reading all those threads pointing out that this bug is old and was never corrected. So basically I have to deal with it and hope that it will magically go away, one of those days... 😕

I cleared my local EA Launch Helper cache and it started remembering my credentials. Might work for you.
- On your keyboard press the Windows + R keys at the same time.
- In the Run window that pops up, enter %localappdata% into the text box.
- Navigate to the EALaunchHelper folder and open it up.
- Delete all the folders you see, for me there was only the cache folder so I just deleted that.
If anyone tries this, let me know if it works for you.
Yup, that works, thanks a mill 🙂
- @dk1864dizzy Well, next day, it asked for my credentials again ☹️
I'm asked to sign into my EA account every single time, even though I've selected 'Keep me signed in'. Becoming a bit tedious now.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Dang it, same thing happened to me. I did try one more thing though and it has been working so far (knock on wood) and hasn't asked for my credentials for a couple days. I have the game through Steam and noticed that the desktop shortcut for the game was pointing to the executable of the game and not configured as a Steam shortcut. I deleted the shortcut and then added a desktop shortcut from Steam itself and it has been working great so far. If you have the game on Steam, try doing the same.
Edit: I also deleted the cache before doing this as well, don't know if that's important or not but worth noting. - Vizionblind2 years agoRising Rookie
same issue here

Well, I will say one positive thing abouut this annoyance. So long as this bug is around I'll never forget my login for it.
So the only solution to this issue is to buy games through Steam and not through EA?
It's not a smart move to fail to address this problem for such a long time.
- @F1speedfreak I have the same issue. Nobody replies at EA Support.

This bug has been bugging me for the better part of the year. As clearing the cache has been something I didn't bother with so far, thought I might give it a go. So I closed EA app, made sure no EA-related processes are running in the tray/task manager and then followed your steps. Next time after reboot it didn't prompt me for my login.
I need some help with the EA APP, i use the xbox login path, but every time i close the app and restart my pc it logs me out again and it getting annoying, is this a bug or something ?

Hi, I'm relatively new to gaming. Is clearing the cache okay to do? Also, the EA app sometimes asks me for login details. Do you think carrying out this step may assist me? Thanks.
Hey BabyReflexes!
Thanks for the suggestion! I did try this several days ago but unfortunately it didn't make any difference. I checked the EALaunchHelper folder just now and whilst before it did have the cache folder (which I deleted), the folder is still empty - cache subfolder hasn't been recreated so it's not actively being written to.
Might there be another cache folder that needs zapped?
Thanks again!
