Ok, I had the same problem too. The problem is EA App not having Full Disk Access in System Settings > Privacy & Security. Enable it, quit and reopen EA App and you will be able to download all your DLC 🙂

- RadimGamer2 years agoSeasoned Novice@Bluebellflora Alright then, I should try it soon. I already did it alternatively with a shortcut in Application folder so it is working that way too. Could be solution too.
Hello! I have been having a lot of trouble with the sims since I had to switch from Origin to the EA app. So before I was playing the Sims 4 on an external drive (Seagate Backup Plus 500GB) with the few packs I had, and had no problem. The game and the folder with the packs were installed on my hard drive. At one point I uninstalled the game and then downloaded it again (I think I had an issue with mods or something, I cannot remember the exact reason) and the packs couldn't download on my drive. Now I switched to the EA app and bought more packs because of the nice deals, and once again I can download the base game on my hard drive, but I cannot download the packs. Whenever I try I get a message that an unknown error has occurred. I have tried to clear the cache and other things that EA recommends. I have another hard drive and have tried to download them on it and it still doesn't work and I simply do not have the space to install everything on my computer. Any advice and help will be appreciated.
That seemed to fix it!! They are downloading! I hope everything runs smoothly. Thank you sooo much @Bluebellflora you are a life saver!
I am downloading sims 4 from EA app for the first time, no sims 4 files on my Mac before now, and I already gave full disc access. It keeps saying installation error. How should I proceed?
I've done this and am still having trouble. Can't even download the base game.
- danielledaisy132 years agoSeasoned Rookie@Bluebellflora I did this. A few times. Mine still doesn't work. Any ideas?

No idea I’m afraid. You could try manually resetting EA App https://bluebellflora.com/2024/04/04/ea-app-recovery-for-mac-reset-ea-app-by-clearing-cache-and-other-files-manually/ - LeoMontgomery11 months agoRising Rookie
Im getting this error message and it does not solve anything giving EA app full disk access. The same problem persists. Have rebooted the whole system, tried 4 separate times to continue the download but no change.
Please tell me there’s another solution to this.. ☹️☹️ - LeoMontgomery11 months agoRising Rookie@LeoMontgomery This was solved by adding "EABackgroundService" to have full disk access as well.
