Sims 4 download stuck at 2%

Is the usb big enough to house the whole of sims 4?

my EA app on my HP laptop just will not update my sims game, the last update the game had it had this issue but i manged to repair the files and it worked but this most recent update nothings working, I’ve cleared the cache on the app, restarted the app, restarted my laptop and updated my laptop but nothings working, i tried to repair the game instead to see if that would work at it just got stuck on 54% then came up with an error that said there’s an issue and to clear my cache. then in a fit of rage i just uninstalled the game and have been trying to redownload it but again it’s stuck on 2% and i have no idea what to do, and i’ve been trying to resolve it for 2 days but nothing is working, please help 🙏

I have been trying to download sims 4 for a good while now but its been stuck at 2%. I have enough space as I'm downloading on a usb, I've cleared the cache and I've tried downloading without expansion packs and I don't know what else to do.

Hey everyone! I've seen a couple of threads about this already, but nothing they've been recommending has worked, so I figured I'd write my own post!

I had to delete the Sims entirely from my PC because I was trying to redownload it onto a USB drive to save storage on my PC. The first time I tried to redownload it, it went sooooo slow. It got up to like 86% after 3 days of downloading, but then, for some reason, the download got cancelled. Now every time I try to download it again, it gets stuck at either 0% or 2% and then will just give me an error message.

I've already tried clearing the cache, repairing the EA app, and restarting my computer, which were all suggestions I read in other posts. Does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks!

I have tried to update my game to the latest patch (August 19) via the EA app. The update gets stuck at around 9 or 10 percent and then just stops and gets stuck. I have tried adjusting my download speed, nothing. Restarted the EA app, nothing. I even deleted and redownloaded the app, still nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this or what's causing it? I do play with mods, however, these have been taken out as per usual with any update.

My sims game wouldn't update and said it was preparing at 2%. I let it sit for a little bit and when I came back there was no change. I play on a usb drive so maybe I thought it was the drive. I bought a new one and it still said the same thing. I then tried to delete the game and reinstall it but then when I went to install it, it said preparing at 2% again. I even tried to download it on a brand new computer and it still didn't work. i tried doing an EA app recovery and clear cache, I even tried to redownload EA but it still didn't work. Can anyone help me???

which has been over 2 months now, my game would not work, I Uninstalled it and now it wont download it's been stuck on 2% for more than 16hours I cleared cache, uninstalled EA, I did app recovery, Run administrator, bought a new storage USB unit, you name it i did it and it still will not move from 2 percent. I have looked through all of the advice from EA pages, Google, tiktok, youtube etc. Im trying to leave my emotions out of this, but ...  all my packs and add ons ive purchased I literally bought a expansion right before the update and was not able to even play or experience it. And no I have 0 mods to my game.

I went to update my sims 4 game, wouldnt work kept coming up with an error. Tried to fix it, same thing. So i uninstalled it and deleted all files. Gone to reinstall and it tries to install gets to 2% then an 'unknown error' message pops up and wont download. Ive updated my computer, my driver, everything I can think of. I dont understand why i cant play a game ive spent hundreds on...

I originally downloaded the sims 4 earlier this year and have played almost 1000 hours at this point. I had to uninstall to download a Windows 11 update and then redownload on a jump drive as my laptop doesn't have enough memory alone. Every time I try to download it, it gets stuck on 2% preparing and it never goes any further. I've tried clearing the cache, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried even switching to use different internet to see if that works. And so far, nothing seems to. I'm completely out of ideas on what to do next. Any advice would be amazing.
