I have a somewhat similar problem:
I recently relocated from Germany to Hungary and while I changed the country setting and updated the payment method to a Hungarian one, I still see everything in EUR currency instead of HUF in both the EA app (on Windows) and in the Browser (in incognito mode). I'm not using a VPN.
I tried the following suggested by EA support, but none of it helped, see below. Could you please help? Is this a bug/glitch?
Things to check and try (in order)
Confirm the country change at the EA account level Make sure the change was done at the EA account, not just in the app:
Go to https://myaccount.ea.com
Sign in
Open About Me
Under Account Information, confirm:
Country/Region: Hungary
Save (even if it already looks correct)
👉 The store currency pulls from this setting, not your Windows region alone.
Fully sign out of the EA App (important) Just closing the app isn’t enough.
Open EA app
Click your profile icon → Sign out
Close the EA app completely
Open Task Manager and make sure no EADesktop.exe processes remain
Restart the EA app and sign back in
Clear the EA App cache This often fixes currency/location mismatches.
Open the EA app
Click ☰ Menu → Help → App Recovery
Choose Clear cache
Let the app restart automatically
Check Windows region & payment country The EA app cross-checks system and payment info. Windows region
Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region
Set Country or region: Hungary
Restart your PC
Payment method
Open EA account → Payment Methods
Make sure:
Address is in Hungary
Old German billing addresses are removed
