Can't Unlink my xbox account from old EA account.

Ive been trying to unlink my xbox account from an old EA account I honestly have no recollection of creating 15+ years ago. Ive tried to contact EA to solve this before and essentially have been ignored. Its essentially forced me to not engage with any EA games for a few years now, back to like BF1 days a decade ago now.

Ideally id be able to live chat with someone to solve this issue so I can enjoy the BF6 beta coming up. But every time I try to contact EA Support through email they just ignore me and never respond which seems sort of insane. I keep seeing people insist there is a live chat option but I can't seem to find it anywhere, only ways to send another ticket to get ignored. Is there anyway to talk to an actual person to get this fixed? I know it can be done, a friend of mine a year or so ago was somehow able to contact via phone and got them to change it after pleading for several hours.

Any help would appreciated!

  • Once you do this, and submitted your case, in the following pages where it presents you with more support articles, just scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see the live chat option. I kept stumbling here too!

Hi there, the screenshot you've shared shows that your EA account is disabled. You can try to re-enable the EA account by resetting its password: https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/reset-expired-password/ If you can't reset the password, you will need to contact EA Help. The chat option is available depending on the topic selected. If you select that you need help to update your EA account, you should get the option to start a chat. Let me know if you have any questions.

I’d gladly try to reset the old account but literally have no idea what the hell the email I used is. I’ve never made an email address starting with 33 like it says in the screenshot. So not even sure where to start on that front.

Also I just did what you said and went to the update EA account tab on the help site and there is still no chat option. No idea if I’m just looking in the wrong spot or im crazy lol.

As you don't remember the email, you will need to contact EA Help. Please go to this link: https://help.ea.com/en/ea-account/ , scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Contact Us":

On the next page, you will see a form to fill out. Once you've completed it, you will be given the contact options. I hope this helps.

Ok I found it finally, but the wait time is 3+ hours to just speak with someone which is kind of insane!

Just a quick update to let you know that the EA Help chat is working and available for support. However, please be aware that wait times may be a bit longer than usual due to the recent beta game releases, which have increased the number of incoming requests.

We understand delays can be frustrating, but the support team is actively working through cases, and players are continuing to get assistance—so please do hang in there if you're waiting.
