EA and it's Terms of Service team

Hello,

I was recently banned permanently on the EA application. This means I am also unable to play any other EA game that connects to the network, such as Battlefields, Battlefront, racing games and so on.

I appealed a few times and got rejected, as I feel the punishment is too harsh. While I understand that the advisors here are from a different team, I figured perhaps they communicate with them every now and then and spread the word. After the rejections, they disabled the account entirely, as in an active account being barred completely from even logging in. I can no longer even login to appeal or make cases. From my understanding, in Europe, this could be debatable and so, what are my odds against EA in Europe in this case? There's someone in EA that has specifically gone the extra mile to prevent further appeals and cases for violation that was a line in chat, yet you can be as racist and say as vile things as you want in voice chat and absolutely nothing happens to you as EA is only capable of monitoring chats, which is probably why nobody dares to use them in newer titles as opposed to in older titles where people didn't have to worry about such things. With the recent developments at that side of the Atlantic, I'm not too surprised anymore that these guys also operate in more gray areas of (international) law and interpit their own Terms of Service according to their own needs and case to case basis, rather than following an universal application.

I've searched for the contacts and got the form downloaded to start the process. And since I'm already at it, I figured I might as well as throw in some other concerns, such as EA shutting down games, significant amount of wrongful and/or overly harsh sanctions, and it is just EA that stands out. Not Blizzard, Activision, Ubisoft or anyone else, just EA.

I'm also planning on charge backing them for the multiple titles that I purchsed within the charge back period since the punishment for that is supposedly an account wide ban but as that alreeady exists, there's really nothing else they can do. Hoping to at least force them to pay some back seeing how they have decided to handle things.

Anyone else been to EU court with EA recently and got any experience/advice to share?

Kind regards,

CQ

  • If our TOS team has reviewed your appeals and denied them cquentino then this means that they found evidence to support the ban.

As such, if they have denied multiple appeals then there is nothing that we or anyone else can do to change this.
