EA Held Disabled Account Preventing Linking

A couple of facts:

  1. I have a single EA account (Since 2011)
  2. I have a single PSN account (Since 2009)

EA claims that a different account is linked to my PSN. An EA-held “Disabled” email address is associated with that link. I can only imagine this issue arose when I changed the email address associated with both accounts.

I wait literally all day on the chat to connect with an “advisor,” only to be notified that they connected to the chat (which had been long since closed on my desktop) at 3am local time to ask me if I was there. This will be the third day I’ve done this waiting for a response to what seems is a simple issue: EA is holding connection to my PSN hostage, by keeping the link established to an email address only they have access to, which only occurred due to changing the email address associated with the account.

My previous post was grouped with others, which isn’t a satisfactory solution. Offer an actual solution, EA.

  • No explanation as to what was connected to my PSN previously. Potentially an issue from Origin, an issue from changing email address associated with EA/PSN, who knows..

Situation was only rectified by deleting whatever other EA account was supposedly connected to my PSN, and after 3+ days spent waiting for someone to randomly pop in; I got lucky coming back from a late lunch to see I was 15 in queue (after ~4hrs wait). Kind of embarrassing. Anyone experiencing issues, I pray your situation isn't more involved than this, or you'll be sore by the end of it.

  • Once again "missed a chat" after waiting for 4 hours. Back into the cycle for some kind of assistance. This system makes me feel unseen and unheard despite thousands of dollars and hours of time poured into these games.

  • This appears to be a longstanding and abundant issue with nobody actually posting that they'd seen any success.. EVERYONE appears to be getting blown off by the "advisors." Gutter-tier support for rectifying an EA-centric issue.

  • I have the same exact issue.  They just sent an email reply to my ticket stating they will "not revers e their decision"....    WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????  I had a screen name for about 15 years up until 2021, when someone found it offensive.  They suspended my account for 7 days and had me change the name.

My account will not link to my PSN account now.  I have tried waiting for chat support twice,  but I don't have 11 or 15 hours to wait for someone to connect.  I tried twice for about 5 hours each time.

The icing on the cake is the email about not reversing a decision, with no qualifying statements or clarity about WHAT THEY ARE EVEN TALKING ABOUT.

This is bananas.  It's like they're begging NOT to sell games.
