You will need to contact an advisor to get the email address updated. They need to verify you own the account. Then they should be able to make changes for you. Use the contact us button at the bottom of the page to open a case.
The EA forums are literally the only place to actually talk to a human being. Additionally, every case I open, I get an "advisor" automated email back to just read an EA help article.

that hasn't gotten me any closer to actually speaking with an advisor. once again, filling out the form only results in an automated email response referring me back to the EA support articles, and because the email is not monitored, I have to repeat the vicious cycle of going onto the articles to fill out the form to once again receive an email to READ THE ARTICLES AGAIN

I am logged into a new gmail account because my original EA account is linked with an old dead email, so unlinking through that old email is literally impossible because I cannot log in to unlink it. And I cant link the new EA account with my xbox because only one account can be linked at a time. Every support ticket I have sent in has been using my new gmail EA account, none of them have been as a guest.
