I'm in the exact same boat as you, except I'm on PS5. I bought a used PS4 with an EA account linked, then it transferred to my PS5, now after pre-ordering BF6 I can't even open the game because it wants me to login to that email (which I have no clue what it is, or the password). I've always been a Call of Duty guy and had really high hopes for BF6, but from what I've seen of EA's support team, I have a feeling we've all been cheated.
Unfortunately I’m pretty sure the customer support is somewhere on the other side of the planet. Explains a lot tbh
