not receiving verification code and support didnt help.

I have been trying to log in to my EA account using Steam for over a year now, and the app says it will send me a six-digit verification code—but it never gets sent. I have tried contacting EA support through chat twice.

The first time, the support agent added a secondary email and sent the six-digit code to that email. It worked once, but when I tried to link my account with Steam again, it asked me to verify again, and this time it didn’t send the code to either the primary or the secondary email.

The six-digit code worked once some years ago. In 2024, when I wanted to play again, it asked me to verify my credentials and said it sent another six-digit code, but it never reached my email.

The second time I contacted chat support, the agent asked me questions like which games I owned and requested proof of purchase (I sent screenshots of my Steam purchase history), my Steam account name, and even my IPv4 address. However, he said it wasn't enough and told me I would need to start another chat to try again.

I’m so frustrated. The main games I used to play are from EA. I’ve bought almost the entire Battlefield franchise, but I can’t play them anymore. This is unfair.

    Hey there, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your account. 

    If you're not getting codes to your email address?
    Try resending the code. If that doesn’t work, make sure:

    • your inbox isn’t full
    • you’ve checked the spam folder
    • you or your service provider haven’t blocked us
    • you’re logged in to the right EA Account.
    • If you’re logged in to a different EA Account, your codes might go to the wrong email.
      Keep your EA Account email address up to date so you can always get your codes.

    If you’re still not getting your codes, look for a past email from ea@e.ea.com and allow images to be displayed. Then, resend the verification email.

    Hi, I've contacted the support again and the agent told me that my Steam account is not linked to any EA service, and that the problem is on steam's behalf.

    I then contacted Steam about this, this was their response:
    "Hello,
    Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
    We acknowledged that you already contacted EA support for help.
    However, linking and unlinking a Steam account and a game or service is an external process. Steam Support is not able to modify or unlink your account.
    To unlink this product from your Steam account, you will still need to contact EA support team again for further assistance.

    Steam Support".

    Why is EA sending a verification code to an e-mail i don't know and why is it doing it in the first place? If my steam is'nt even linked to any EA services according to the agent?
