Unable to talk to live chat/talk to support agent.
Background: I am an IT support engineer and know what it's like with systems like Kaseya and Freshdesk. I am also use to troubleshooting and rarley have to make these type of posts.
I am trying to delete this account. However there is NO WAY to do this. I do not want nor need this account anymore.
Why not keep it?
Games are not a priority anymore and I do not want to nor need EA or most games in my life anymore.
I do not want accounts I don't use going forward unless I have invested a lot of money into this. Steam for example.
Another reason is I do not want EA continuously changing the T&S on me and have me agree to things I do not agree to especially when this account it no longer needed.
Yes, I have tried to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem.
I have gone through several times to "Open up a chat" but nothing ever happens.
- I have disabled Adblockers
- I have tried different devices (Windows and Linux)
- I have tried with and without a VPN
- I have tried different browsers (Firefox and Chromium)
- I have wait longer then needed to for anything in the browser to work
- I made sure there are no issues with permissions and no site pop ups being blocked or denied
- I have tried the desktop edition on my phone as a bonus
- Also reset browser history, cache and cookies everytime as this is a standard on my set up.
Conclution / Conspiracy theory.
This is beyond stupid. For a company that claims we need to talk to a rep, these is no literal way to do so.
No email, no phone, not tickets system to go back and forth on, no chat bubble like most sites to talk to a rep.
Instead I go to a page saying "1 minute" and nothing happens.
At this point, I can say without a doubt this is a tatic to keep users on the platform unless proven otherwise.
Only alternative option?
I am extremely fees up with this and to a point where I will place a 10 minute email on this account and wait for my account to be purged or just ban the account.
However either way is not good enough since I want the data deleted, NOT Inaccessible or on EA servers.
Why does this matter?
Several other times this has been posted on the forms and not once has an actual answer come from EA or anyone from support regarding this issue.
Not only are they making it difficult for people to quit, bit they are just lying to us. Why not raise a complaint? Since I literally cannot do this via support.
No generic responses please.
For anyone in the community, I do not want to hear the generic "open a case here [link]" this does and will not work after all the troubleshooting I have done.
If anyone HAS had success please reply.
