Xbox Live Account Linked to Deactivated EA Email

Been trying to get ready for the BF6 Beta, but when I log in with my Xbox Live account, it says I have to reset my password. When I attempt to link my EA Account with my XBL Account, it says it's linked to an EA Account that's disabled. This is ridiculous that I won't be able to play games with an account I've had for years that EA decided to deactivate all their own.

Attached is picture. Waiting for an advisor takes hours and nobody picks up either, totally ridiculous. Has anyone been successful in getting ahold of support? What about a customer support phone to call? What about unlinking my Xbox Live from an EA Account that obviously doesn't exist?

  • I also need help with this. Crazy to me that they’ll deactivate old accounts but not un-link them

The more frustrating part is being unable to get to talk with a support agent as EA is just closing our tickets and not doing anything about it. I'm trying to work with Microsoft directly to remove my account from their side to see if that's even possible

All I want is an EA Advisor to review my case number: 218240418

I have provided my Xbox Live Gamertag that I can log into on my computer and have it simply unlinked from the deactivated account so I can link it to my actual EA Account and play a game. If EA will not fix this simple issue, I will simply not purchase Battlefield 6 and will encourage my friends to not purchase it either since we can't play together.

I think the best way to get EA to address our issues is simply refuse to purchase. I'm not making another Xbox account to workaround this issue they should have fixed.

So in summary, here's the issue:

    1. When I log into Battlefield 6 on Xbox, it says my password is expired and says it needs to be reset my password.
    2. When I go to the EA Website and log in with my Microsoft Account, it says I have to reset my password and enter the email to my Xbox linked account
    3. The problem is, the account that is linked with my Xbox account is deactivated and the email is "ea.disabled.com", so I cannot reset my password to fix it.
    4. I have entered all possible email addresses that could have ever been used in the last 15 years and none of them give me an EA Account
    5. When I go to link an Xbox Live account on this account, it says my Live account is linked to the disabled account

This broken process HAS to be fixed

I'm having exactly the same problem and can't contact support at all. I tried to create a help ticket but I just reached a dead end without it being submitted.

Have the same issue on the PS5. However I have had an EA account since 2009. My PSN hasn't changed since the PS3s launch, same on PS4, and for whatever reason can't link PS5. So it's kinda ridiculous as my account has only ever been linked to one account.

Email Address hasn't changed. So I don't know what's wrong with their broke system. Just told since it's a disabled account you need to contact customer support to unlink it.
